(Last time we did this hike the loop was full of poppies it was same time last year so lets hope we can get lucky again )
Hello Fellow Hikers,
This is a great time of year to hit this trail. The mountains are so green there’s water in the small pond. This route into the Santa Monica Mountains takes you on a trip along some single-track trails and along dirt roads. You’ll begin climbing steeply into the mountains within the first few miles. You’ll reach the scenic China Flat area where movies like Back to the Future Part III were filmed. The rest of the trip takes you on a series of ridges with great views until you descend via the same ridge you came up in the beginning.
