44 Beautiful Coastal miles – E biking

A round trip on the entirety of the Marvin Braude Bike Path for a total of 44 miles.

DETAILS:
ROUTE:

BIKE RIDE DESCRIPTION:
This E_Bike ride will be on the Marvin Braude Bike Trail (aka the beach bike path). This beautiful bike path will take us along the beach to Torrance Beach, that little sliver of beach just south of Redondo. The street riding portion of this is minimal, the rest of the time, you’re on a bike path away from car traffic.

It won’t be a race as we’re out there to just enjoy the day and so we’ll probably stop to watch dolphins, take pictures, get some lunch and probably stop for ice cream or other snacks near the end.

Along the way, we’ll pass by Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Rey, Playa Del Rey, LAX (at the beach), El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach.

Make sure you bring along a spare inner tube and some sunscreen. Also make sure your battery will last for 44 miles.

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.

Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
