This hike is the perfect summer hike. It will require several stream crossings along the Arroyo Conejo and Wildwood Canyon Creek so wear shoes you don’t mind getting wet (if you don’t like walking on rocks); shorts recommended
We’ll visit the Wetlands and have a picnic lunch at shady Skunk Hollow, a tree-lined area adjacent to a flowing creek with a picnic table. A nice little area. It will be almost all downhill to Skunk Hollow —
🍴😋Bring some food and drink to share🥂 and your own utensils, etc.
We’ll return to the cars via my secret trail and more stream crossings. Hike will be about 7 miles with 950 ft total ascent (it can be shortened to 5.5 miles and 600′ ascent with two less stream crossings if weather demands it) and rated MEDIUM. See Hike Rating Guide
DIRECTIONS:
Park and meet under the trailhead tree at the end of Calle Yucca. Please respect the residents’ peace 🤪
