SUMMARY:Doin' the Big\, Fig Newton Canyon
DESCRIPTION:http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/b/a/2/4/event_99467652.jpeg \nPlease follow the written directions as the map may be incorrect. \nLet’s do this hike again as the waterfall should be flowing nicely. \nFrom the Kanan Rd trailhead\, we’ll jump on the Backbone Trail for a cruise down into Newton Canyon. On our way there\, we’ll cross the creek\, pass under an oak canopy\, and come out into an opening. The parking lot is on the right. \nFrom Pacific Coast Highway\, go north on Kanan Dume Road about 4 miles and make a left turn into the parking lot immediately after going through the first tunnel. \nParking is free. \nBring sunscreen\, plenty of water\, and wear sturdy shoes and a sun hat.
