DESCRIPTION:NOTE UNUSUAL STARTING LOCATION! \nWe will start our hike at the neighborhood trailhead at Pinehill and Potrero in Newbury Park. See written instructions; parking is not permitted on Potrero\, so you’ll have to find spots on Pinehill or Greenwood Street. \nOur lopsided lollipop hike will pass by our usual RSV parking spot\, descend to the bridge\, and climb up and out of the canyon along the Upper Sycamore Creek trail. We’ll turn left at Danielson Fire Road\, cross the meadow back to the Satwiwa Interpretive Center\, and return to the cars on a slightly different route. \nNOTE: Please review the guidelines to participate in our hikes. Here are some highlights: \n\nRestrictions apply for your safety and ours:\nDon’t show up unless you’re on the “Attending” list\nNo “Plus Ones” on this hike\nPlan on completing the entire hike at ~2.5 miles per hour\, or please find an alternative hike that better suits your hiking level.\nPlease bring water. Parts of this hike are exposed.\nNo dogs allowed.\n\nDirections to the Trailhead \n\nExit 101 at Lynn Road and drive 4.4 miles southwest. Turn left onto Reino Road\, go 0.2 miles\, then right onto Potrero (yes\, it’s confusing; another part of Lynn Road turns into Potrero; this is different!).\nYou’ll see a drainage canal on your right; continue 0.5 miles to Pinehill and find a place to park.\n\nDISCLAIMER / RELEASE OF LIABILITY \nThe hike host is a volunteer and not responsible for the group.
