Pay fee or park for free with appropriate parking permit in parking lot\, or park for free on PCH around corner near sand dune. \nBring water\, snacks\, sunscreen\, and an adventurous attitude. Rain\, excessive heat\, or Red Flag alert cancels. \nPlease print out the Sierra Club medical form and bring it with you. SUMMARY:Los Robles Trailhead at Greenmeadow Avenue ~ Braille Trail ~ Gentler Friendly
DESCRIPTION:NOTE: We will leave from the Greenmeadow Parking lot and NOT from the Moorpark Lot. \nThis is a second hike for Thursday but the hike leaves from Greenmeadow Trailhead so turn at the end of Moorpark Rd on Greenmeadow and go to end to the parking lot (a.k.a. Braille Trail). This hike will be an IN/OUT on the Los Robles West Trail. We will go out 2 1/2 miles and return the same\, for exactly 5 miles with about 800′ of total elevation gain. \n“Robles” is Spanish for oaks\, and we’ll see plenty of them on this beautiful\, hike. \nTrailhead Directions: From the 101 in Thousand Oaks\, turn south on Moorpark Road. Drive about 0.5 miles turning RIGHT onto Greenmeadow Avenue\, travel 0.3 miles to the end. The trailhead is to the left.
