DESCRIPTION:BIKE RIDE TO OJAI…With A Twist\nThis is a favorite any time of the year. A great ride to invite friends to\, but please have them join the group and RSVP to the event. This trail starts at the beach and meanders up to Ojai on an old rail line that was converted to a trail. \nHere’s the “twist”. On our return\, we’ll stop-off at Ventura Spirits for a tasting. They are located next to the bike path with convenient bike parking. The tastings are $12 and include 4 tasting or 1 cocktail. Safe for the ride/drive home. Those who prefer to pass can continue back to the cars. \nMake sure you bring along a spare inner tube and bike lock. DESCRIPTION:Here is a relatively gentle walk through a little-known section of a little-known corner of NELA\, rife with solid local architecture and some of the city’s few “sidewalk staircase” streets. We will celebrate Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s World Series MVP performance. Pointing out what made this an epic performance. We’ll explain baseball’s little-known and seldom seen ‘Golden Pitch’ tossed by Yamamoto! Meet in front of the old-timey Cindy’s Restaurant\, Colorado Boulevard and Townsend Avenue (1500 Colorado Blvd.\, Los Angeles\, CA 90041). Street parking is limited so arrive early. Bring water\, adventurous spirit\, strong legs\, a sharp eye and a love of stair hikes. Flashlight or headlamp suggested. No restrooms.
