This trip has minimal guidance. It may be possible to plan ridesharing by communicating with other attendees. \nThe trip leader will not be traveling back to California after this event and is unable to facilitate rideshares. \nAs this trip is out of state\, communication is critical. If you are attending but have not connected with the group in Page prior to Lees Ferry\, you will be left behind. There is sporadic phone service or no service. Therefore\, if something comes up\, you must communicate with the group as early as possible. \n\nTotal roundtrip distance: ~30 miles \nTrip Breakdown 🌞\nBackhaul to Glen Dam from Lees Ferry.\nDistance: 15 miles\nPaddle from Glen Dam back to Lees Ferry\nDistance: 15 miles \nITINERARY:\nDay 1 (May 14th\, Tuesday): Meet at Lees Ferry\, situate rentals\, and begin backhaul.\nPaddle towards Lees Ferry and scout for camp site. The Little Colorado may be muddy brown instead of turquoise depending on rain. This hike will take place brown or blue.\nThe start of our hike may be 70s+\, while the bottom of the canyon may edge towards the 90s. Fortunately\, we have the option to hike in the water and swim to cool off. \nWater:\nWater is available once we reach the Little Colorado. As well as to be more social in the new year. \nThis is the event to get the ball rolling. \nOR \nMaybe you have heard of these but not been able to make it there before now. \nOR \nMaybe this is your happy place and you will lead the way? \nWhatever the reason . . . Join us!! (and feel free to add whatever cheeky reasons you wish to the comments area too). \nFrom 7 to 8 AM I will be at the trailhead . . . WITH COFFEE. Bring your camp chair and let’s socialize. While it is pretty remote at about an hour and a half from San Diego\, the hike is excellent and one that is a good intro level hike with a gradual incline and nice views.
