DESCRIPTION:NOTE: \nThis will be a much easier hike for Tuesday. We will go slower and with less elevation gain and less miles. Anyone who wants to add more mileage\, can take the loop near the Greenmeadow Parking lot. \nWe will start in the parking lot at the end of Moorpark and walk down the street to the Las Padres trail. From there we will loop around and come back to the Moorpark trailhead via the Los Robles trail. This should be around 4 miles with maybe 800 feet elevation gain. Those who want to hike faster can wait for me at the forks. \n“Robles” is Spanish for oaks\, and we’ll see plenty of them on this beautiful hike. We might even see some wild flowers. \nTrailhead Directions: From the 101 in Thousand Oaks\, turn south on Moorpark Road. DESCRIPTION:NOTE: \nI have cancelled the hike for Newton Canyon off Kanan for Tuesday April 16\, because there was more rain that I expected and that hike takes us down into the valley and I think it will be too wet. So this is an alternative\, but we will still get in at least 5 miles. We will start in the parking lot at the end of Moorhead and walk down the street to Las Padres and go up that path\, around and all the way over to the parking lot off Greenmeadow and take the hiking path back to our parking lot at Moorpark.
