DESCRIPTION:NOTE:\nPlease note this hike is September 11\, not this week. I feel it is still too hot to hike. It will be a little cooler September 11 and we will start at 8:00. This hike has a lot of trees and shade. We will begin in the parking lot at the end of Moorpark and walk down the street to the Las Padres trail (so do not turn down Greenmeadow to park\, instead park at the end of Moorpark). From there we will loop around and come back to the Moorpark trailhead via the Los Robles trail. Some hikers may want to add a mile by going to the Greenmeadow parking lot at the end of the hike and taking the trail back to Moorpark\, but you can also return to the Moorpark parking lot before that turn off. This should be around 4.5 to 5 miles with maybe 800 feet elevation gain. \n“Robles” is Spanish for oaks\, and we’ll see plenty of them on this beautiful hike. \nTrailhead Directions: From the 101 in Thousand Oaks\, turn south on Moorpark Road. We will all be on the same trails. This loop going counterclockwise with Steve starting at the Los Robles Trailhead. We will converge at the halfway point for celebratory high-fives and then continue on with our respective groups. \nFollowing the hike we will converge at Pedals and Pints Brewing Company ~ 156 W. Hillcrest Drive\, Thousand Oaks. \nThis loop hike is about 4.5 miles with about 800′ of total elevation gain\, spread out nicely\, with a little bonus loop through Oak Creek Canyon.\n“Robles” is Spanish for oaks\, and we’ll see plenty of them on this beautiful\, relaxing hike. \nTrailhead Directions: From the 101 in Thousand Oaks\, turn south on Moorpark Road. Another hike will be posted\, please only sign up for one hike. \nWe will start in the parking lot at the end of Moorpark and walk down the street to the Las Padres trail. From there we will loop around and come back to the Moorpark trailhead via the Los Robles trail. DESCRIPTION:This is a gentler hike on the Los Robles trail.\nThis is a loop of about 4.5 miles with about 800′ of total elevation gain\, spread out nicely\, with a little bonus loop through Oak Creek Canyon.\n“Robles” is Spanish for oaks\, and we’ll see plenty of them on this beautiful\, relaxing hike.\nTrailhead Directions: From the 101 in Thousand Oaks\, turn south on Moorpark Road. We will all be on the same trails\, one loop going clockwise with Laurie starting at the Los Padres trailhead and one loop going counterclockwise with Steve starting at the Los Robles Trailhead.
