DESCRIPTION:DESCRIPTION:\nThis will be the last hike of 2024! I hope something a little closer to home and a little shorter to mark the end of the year might make it easier to get a larger – maybe celebratory – group together to ring out 2024 might be fun. As usual you can expect beautiful views\, and you might like that this trail is largely a well-maintained fire road. At the peak we will visit a paragliding launch pad where we might see some paragliders in action (if we’re lucky). Please note the trailhead is at Dillion Divide on Little Tujunga Road. For those who are interested\, let’s maybe grab brunch and/or a drink after the hike? \nDETAILS: \n\nHike Organizer(s): Tim R.\nMeet: Kagel Mountain Trailhead at 7:45 am\, departure at 8:00 am sharp (Saturday\, Dec 28).\nDistance: Approximately 6.0 miles.\nElevation gain: Approximately 1\,269 feet.\nTime: Approximately 3.0 hours hiking including a snack break.\nConditioning: You need to be in generally good physical condition.\nDogs: Dogs are allowed.\nRestrooms: No.\nAdventure Pass: Required.\n\nIMPORTANT NOTES: We’ll hike at a brisk pace and ask everyone to stay with the group for a friendly and safe outing. Hiking may be hazardous due to uneven footing\, stream crossings\, exposures\, snakes\, bugs\, poison oak\, etc. Please be aware of your abilities and their limits. You are responsible for your own safety and well-being. This event may be cancelled due to inclement weather or other conditions. Snacks and 2+ liters of water and electrolytes or salt tablets. Beginner: 1-3 miles\, less than 500 feet elevation gain.\n2. Beginner/Intermediate: 1-7 miles\, less than 700 feet elevation gain.\n3. Intermediate: 5-10 miles\, 1000-2000 feet elevation gain.\n4. Intermediate/Advanced: 7-12 miles\, up to 3000 feet elevation gain.\n5.
