DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/harmon-canyon-road-and-west-road?search=true \nHello Fellow Hikers\,\nHarmon Canyon is back open after the rain damage and now it is time to hit this trail. This is a really popular area so will need to start earlier plus the weather is starting to ease towards summer now. If you haven’t been to the area before it’s a great place to hike. Perfect time of year as its still green with wildflowers and still a cool breeze. This is a gradual incline so you can enjoy the scenery more and get in more conversation without having to stop to breath. lol Parking can fill up fast so if that’s the case kim suggest parking on kimball Rd which is off FootHill Rd. Carpooling at our same meetup spot will be offered for anyone who wishes to carpool or follow to the trailhead (Best donuts located 2325 Kuehner Dr # 127 Simi Valley off the 118 freeway at 8:00 am) I have attached the AllTrails link for directions\, stats and photos. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/harmon-canyon-road-and-west-road?search=true \nTrail out and back\nMiles 6.5\nElevation Gain 905 ft\nRated moderate\nDogs unfortunately only allowed 2 miles into the trail\nParking free lot or side street \nAs of now there is no sweeper for this hike so please know if you feel you can not finish for any reason please turn back early \nPlease check back on hike info as rain\, heat advisory\, strong winds or low attendance may cause the hike to be rescheduled \nWe will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules: \n\nHike your own hike\nPlease stop at every junction and split to wait for others to catch up\n\nPlease remember to bring all essentials you’ll need for a hike\n(water\,hat\,sunglasses\,hiking boot/hiking shoes poles if needed snacks) \nLiability Disclaimer:\nAnd last….The Organizer\, Co Organizer\, Assistant Organizers and Event hosts in this group are not professional guides. We offer all levels of hikes from moderate to hard to advanced only. We encourage everyone to not give up work on your core by joining our easier moderate Events and then joining our harder hikes once you are ready. 😊
