SUMMARY:From Gold Canyon Trail to Wildwood Park ~ Gentler Intermediate
DESCRIPTION:Tomorrow’s weather forecast for Thousand Oaks is the mid 60’s to low 70’s after it’s been under an extreme heat wave the last few weeks.\nLet’s hike from Gold Canyon Trail to Wildwood park. It will pass through various trails with a long creek\, crossing streams and bridges\, Indian caves\, volcanic rock cliffs\, waterfalls\, cacti-filled desert environs\, riparian forest\, and wildflowers. Highlights of the hike include waterfalls incorporating the 40’ Paradise waterfalls along tree canopies.\nIt is approximately 5 miles with about 900-1000’ of elevation gain/loss. \nDirections:\nFrom the 101 in Thousand Oaks\, turn north on Lynn Road and continue to Avenida De Los Arboles\, then turn left. Continue for about a half mile to Velarde Dr.( next to Wildwood Elementary School) and turn left and then turn left again at San Velarde Circle.\nFrom the 118\, travel west to the 23\, exit at Avenida De Los Arboles and turn right.
