DESCRIPTION:This is not a backpacking trip.\nThis is an off-road\, backcountry adventure over 3 days requiring 4WD and 5 gallons\, minimum\, extra fuel. \n*** \nYou will only be added to this trip if you have a 4WD vehicle and jerry can or fuel container or if a driver offers space for SDB passengers. \n*** \nThere is no phone service. \n*** \n📅 Friday\, 2/14\n⛏️ Meetup at Boxcar Cabin\n⛏️ 36.43345\, -117.63110\n⛏️ Elevation: 5288′\n⛏️ Weather: possible high 50 / low 20\n✔️ Come to Boxcar after topping off gas and fuel can(s) in Olancha (33 miles/60 mins away).\n✔️ Bring firewood.\n🔍 Option to view Viking and Queen Talc Mine near Boxcar. \n📅 Saturday\, 2/15\n⛏️ We will drive 50 miles this day.\n⛏️ Head up South Pass towards (SPA).\n❗ Road is mostly washboard.\n❗ Bring tools to tighten whatever may come loose.\n⛏️ Establish camp and enjoy.\n⛏️ Has amenities.\n⛏️ Weather: possible high 70 / low 40-50\n✔️ We have a list of items to bring for (SPA) to contribute as a group.\n🤐 Do not respond with information about (SPA) anywhere on this event publicly\, it will be deleted. \n📅 Sunday\, 2/16\n⛏️ We will drive approximately 83 miles this day.\n❗ Steele Pass\, Class 3 with steps.\n⛏️ Marble Bath\n⛏️ Eureka Dunes\n⛏️ Ubehehe Crater\n⛏️ Set camp at Mesquite Spring Campground.\n⛏️ Has potable water\, fire rings\, and flushing toilets.\n⛏️ Weather: possible high 60 / low 40 \n📅 Monday\, 2/17\n⛏️ We will drive approximately 42 miles this day.\n⛏️ Fuel up in Stovepipe Wells.\n❗ Approximately 208 miles driven from Olancha to Stovepipe Wells.\n👋 Part ways at Stovepipe Wells. \n*** \nRequired:\nAmerica the Beautiful pass or park entrance fee.\nCash for FCFS sites.\nWood for three nights.\nExtra water.\nCold weather gear.\nAll supplies for entire duration of trip.\nThere is no resupply for 208 miles. \n*** \nDISCLAIMER: Be responsible for yourself and your safety.
