SUMMARY:Gentler Friendly ~ Sunset Hills\, Woodridge Loop
DESCRIPTION:This hike route is sometimes called the Urban Trail. It starts in Sunset Hills Open Space and includes a big loop in Woodridge Open Space. It is a fairly gentle\, hilly slope\, where you’ll get some great panoramic views of the entire area\, including the Conejo Valley\, Simi Hills and looking west towards Camarillo/Oxnard. Continue east and you will reach the Woodridge Open Space in Thousand Oaks.\nhttps://www.conejovalleyguide.com \nIt provides wonderful views of Wood Ranch Reservoir (Bard Lake)\, Simi Valley\, northern Thousand Oaks\, and the Tierra Rejada Valley. \nThis is a moderate 5-6 miles round trip with a total elevation gain/loss of about 1000 ft. \nDirections:\nHow to get there: From the 23 Freeway\, drive east on Sunset Hills Blvd.\, then north on Erbes Rd 0.7 mile to the trailhead on the right. DESCRIPTION:This intermediate hike starts in the Sunset Hills Open Space and includes a loop in the Woodridge Open Space. It provides views of Wood Ranch Reservoir\, Simi Valley\, northern Thousand Oaks\, and the Tierra Rejada Valley. We’ll end with a loop around the Bard reservoir to finish with about 6.7 miles\, 1300 ft gain. \nDirections: \nFrom the 23 Freeway\, drive east on Sunset Hills Blvd.\, then north on Erbes Rd 0.7 miles to the trailhead on the right.\nFrom W Olsen Rd turn north on Erbes Rd 0.7 miles and turn left into the trailhead.
