SUMMARY:Rosewood Trail to Angel Vista - Gentler Intermediate
DESCRIPTION:The hike begins near the beginning of Regal Oak Ct. on the lower Rosewood Trail\, a dirt trail heading up a shaded ravine at the base of the mountains\, and continues to the usual Rosewood trail. Rosewood trail presents a clear view over the 101 Freeway carving up the Conejo Valley. This is a preview of the panorama to come at Angel Vista\, and the view grows larger as you hike higher up the mountain. At the top\, we will take a brief break at the picnic table to enjoy the magnificent panoramic viewpoints that Angel Vista offers\, the Santa Monica Mountains in a coastal area including the Boney Mountains\, Sandstone Peak and the rocky crown of the Santa Monicas with Conejo Valley\, the Oxnard Plains and (on a clear day) a couple of the Channel Islands.\nThen\, we will continue to hike another .5 mile (optional) and turn around to return to our cars. \nThis hike is about 5-6 miles with an elevation gain of approximately 900-1100 feet. \nDirections: From the 101 Freeway take Ventu Park Rd. south\, turn right on Lynn Rd. and left on Regal Oak. \nDISCLAIMER / RELEASE OF LIABILITY\nIMPORTANT\, PLEASE READ BELOW IN ITS ENTIRETY:\nThe hike host is a volunteer and not responsible for the group. SUMMARY:Rosewood Trail: Lynn to Angel Vista - Gentler Intermediate
DESCRIPTION:Meet at the Rosewood sign\, which is on the Regal Oak Ct. and Lynn Rd. intersection. The hike is about 5 miles with an elevation gain/loss approximately 900’. \nWe’ll walk a short distance on Lynn road to the lower Rosewood Trail\, then take the dirt trail up a shaded ravine and continue on the Rosewood trail to the Angel Vista peak. \nRosewood trail presents a clear view over the 101 Freeway carving up the Conejo Valley. This is a preview of the panorama to come at Angel Vista\, and the view grows larger as you hike higher up the mountain. SUMMARY:Hike Rosewood Trail to Angel Vista and ***Celebrate the 4th of July!🇺🇸🌟✨🎉
DESCRIPTION:We will enjoy our hike and have a post-hike potluck gathering to celebrate the 4th of July in my back yard from 12:30 pm to 4 pm. All active Trailblazers are also welcome to join the gathering and bring your favorite food\, beverage or dessert to share. The address will be sent just after the hike. \nWe will start our hike near the beginning of Regal Oak Ct. on the lower Rosewood Trail\, a dirt trail heading up a shaded ravine at the base of the mountains\, and continue to the usual Rosewood trail. Rosewood trail presents a clear view over the 101 Freeway carving up the Conejo Valley. This is a preview of the panorama to come at Angel Vista\, and the view grows larger as you hike higher up the mountain. At the top\, the picnic table at Angel Vista offers one of the magnificent panoramic viewpoints in the Santa Monica Mountains in a coastal area including the Boney Mountains\, Sandstone Peak and the rocky crown of Santa Monicas with Conejo Valley\, the Oxnard Plains and (on a clear day) a couple of the Channel Islands. \nThis hike is 5 miles with an elevation gain/loss of about 900‘. \nDirections: From the 101 Freeway take Ventu Park Rd. south\, turn right on Lynn Rd. and left on Regal Oak. \nPLEASE READ BELOW IN ITS ENTIRETY\nPlease review our guidelines to participate in our hikes.\nRestrictions apply for your safety and ours: \n\nDon’t show up unless you’re shown on the “Attending” list.\nPlan on KEEPING UP with the group and completing the entire hike at a moderate pace\, or please find an alternative hike that better suits your hiking level.\nNo “Plus Ones” or dogs on Weekday Trailblazer hikes.\n\nDISCLAIMER / RELEASE OF LIABILITY\nThe hike host is a volunteer and not responsible for the group. SUMMARY:Rosewood Trail to Angel Vista ~ Gentler hike
DESCRIPTION:This is a second hike for Thursday since the only hike posted is full. We will start near the beginning of Regal Oak Ct. on the lower Rosewood Trail\, a dirt trail heading up a shaded ravine at the base of the mountain and continue to the usual Rosewood trail. We will hike to the top of Rosewood trail where there is a picnic table. Since this is an out and back\, you can take your time or speed it up.
