DESCRIPTION:Please bring a flashlight or headlamp. \nhttp://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/7/2/1/c/600_358949212.jpeg \nOur usual conditions and restrictions apply for your safety and ours: \n\nDon’t show up unless you’re shown on the “Attending” list\nUnregistered or waitlisted will be turned away\nNo “Plus Ones” on this hike\nNo dogs on this or any other Weekday Trailblazers hike\nAll participants must be 18 or older\, or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.\n\nWe’ll take a little roller coaster hiking trip to enjoy the Island views from the Angel Vista picnic area. This hike starts just a half mile up the road from the Boney trailhead going toward Hidden Valley. The Park Ranger closes the gate at 4 p.m.\, so please park on either side of the street along side of Potrero Rd. \nhttp://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/7/2/e/4/600_358949412.jpeg \nA nice moderately strenuous 4 1/2+ miles OAB with an elevation gain/loss of 1300 ft. and open space views of the Conejo Valley\, Hidden Valley\, and the Pacific Ocean/ Channel Islands. We will stop at the Angel Vista rest stop/ picnic area to enjoy the views\, take in a snack before heading back to the parking area. Hope you can join me! \nEssentials: \nPlease wear – brush-resistant pants/shorts \, one or more wicking shirts appropriate to the temperature\, comfortable hiking shoes or light boots\, your favorite undergarments and accessories\, and a light backpack. \nPlease bring – at least two liters of water\, snacks\, an extra layer of clothing\, a charged cell phone\, identification\, a headlamp\, a small first-aid kit\, bug repellant and sunscreen\, a waterproof shell if rain is forecast\, and any medications or anything else you might need on the trail. \nParking: \nFree off-street parking is available on Potrero Road.
