SUMMARY:Ventura Winter Wine Walk

In the past\, the Ventura Wine Walks have been a really incredible time! \nThe festival takes place along 4 blocks of Main St.\, between N. Fir St and S. Palm St. \n{ TRAIN OPTIONS – travel via the train } Link to Amtrak\nThe train station is 8 – 15 min walk\, depending on which end of the festival.\n$18: 769 Pacific Surfliner – Simi Valley (SIM) 12:11p\, Ventura (VEC) – 1:03p\n$18: 794 Pacific Surfliner – Ventura (VEC) 7:50p\, Simi Valley (SIM) – 8:48p\nThese times will be updated as the date nears\, because the schedule often changes slightly. \nI don’t recommend buying tickets.\nInstead\, buy what you want to eat and/or drink as needed at various businesses\, or bring your own (fastest and least expensive). \nWhat follows\, it mostly from the advertisement: \nFor those that still want to buy tickets ($?? – $??? with fee): (Link to purchase tickets coming soon) \nSuggested check-in: Winchester’s Saloon \nThe Social Event Of The Year is BACK! The Ventura Winter Wine Walk & Holiday Street Fair will once again return to beautiful Ventura on Saturday\, December 6\, 2025! \nThe Most Magical day in Ventura will kick off with the FREE Fiesta Street Fair from 12pm-8pm in Downtown Ventura from the Museum of Ventura County through the 600 block of Main Street with vendors and live entertainment. Shop artists\, crafters\, non-profit organizations\, commercial and food vendors. \nThe street fair and entertainment is FREE and open to the public starting at Noon! \nTHE WINE WALK 4pm – 8pm\nTicket Purchasers: CHECK-IN TIME IS FROM 3pm-5: 45 pm.\nYou will not be allowed to participate if you arrive after 5:45 pm\, No refunds will be issued. \nWine Sampling is from 4pm-7: 00 pm.\nHoliday Street Fair is Noon-8pm.\nSnow Fall at Main Stage will begin at 6:45 pm.\nMusic ends at 8 pm. \nThe Wine Walk will showcase Wineries and Breweries in your favorite Downtown businesses. Space Is Very Limited this event Sells Out Every year…Get Your Tickets Today! \nAll guests MUST START at your designated check-in location before they can start the Wine Walk\, if you purchased tickets. \nThere are many check-in points\, and which one will depend on the ticket you buy. Regardless of where you check in\, please get there early enough so that after checking in\, you are able to make your way to: \n4pm\nWinchesters Grill and Saloon\n632 E Main St.\nVentura\, CA 93001 \nPhotos from prior Winter Wine Walk 2022\nPhotos from prior Winter Wine Walk 2023\nPhotos from prior Winter Wine Walk 2024 \nNote: Parking can be tricky\, and you may need to walk several blocks\, maybe even further. I recommend adding 45 minutes for parking and walking to our meet point. \nThe event time is set for 3p\, but we’ll meet at 4p. That will give people time to check-in if they bought a ticket\, because the check-in process can take 1/2 hr. \nNote: This is a loosely coupled event.\nEverybody will not be together at all times. Instead\, we’ll likely encounter members of our group during the event\, especially at the start. \nFAQ\nHiking Plus Page Links

SUMMARY:Learn New Skills-Make New Friends-Experience New Adventure
DESCRIPTION:Informational Posting Only – See Website at www.wildernesstravelcourse.org\nINFORMATIONAL POSTING ONLY\nwww.wildernesstravelcourse.org\nDear Group Members\, particularly the recent swell of new\, never-been-backpacking-before-but-want-to-start members: There is a great Sierra Club opportunity that is about to begin….an opportunity that only happens one time each year and it is one of the best outdoor learning experiences the Sierra Club has to offer. This is the Angeles Chapter Wilderness Travel Course (WTC). Some of you have taken the course and are now leaders and/or knowledgeable hikers. For those of you who have not\, enrollment in WTC is something you should consider now. The Wilderness Travel Course helps build outdoor skills so hikers can be safe in the backcountry. The course runs for ten weeks and includes four field trips (two one day and two weekend outings). Students learn map and compass navigation skills for competent hiking off-trail\, snow travel\, rock scrambling techniques\, first aid\, nutrition and lots more. The course is followed by unforgettable experience backpacking trips\, most of which take place in the High Sierra\, Sequoia and Yosemite during the summer months.\nWTC moves you from being a day hiker to a more serious adventurer. You will acquire skills in trip planning\, preparation\, equipment and wilderness safety to take you into the backcountry in all seasons\, beyond roads and trails with new friends that share your interest in the outdoors.\nAgain\, the course runs only one time each year and takes place in Southern California in four locations as follows: Orange County (Tuesdays beginning Jan 6th) Long Beach/South Bay (Wednesdays beginning January 14th); San Gabriel Valley (Tuesdays beginning Jan 20th); West Los Angeles (Wednesdays beginning Jan 21st)\nThe four geographic areas fill up well in advance of the class start date so register early.\nFOR MORE INFORMATION AND TO REGISTER FOR THE COURSE GO TO: http:www.wildernesstravelcourse.org
