SUMMARY:Limekiln at Porter Ranch – Short Version
DESCRIPTION:*** Rain will cancel this hike *** \nWe will meet at 6:30pm and start hiking promptly at 6:35. \nThis evening’s hike will be the short version of Limekiln which is perfect for beginners. It’s roughly 4 miles\, out-and-back\, with an elevation gain of about 500′. \nLimekiln presents a variety of terrain and landscapes. So\, be prepared for hiking asphalt and gravel roads\, single track trails\, hills\, wooded areas\, and crossing creeks. Limekiln is one of the areas devastated by recent fires\, and although the green is returning\, we will see the aftereffects. \nWe will stop at the turn-around point for a short break.
