SUMMARY:San Francisquito Canyon South via Pacific Crest Trail
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/san-francisquito-canyon-south-via-pacific-crest-trail \nHello Fellow Hikers\,\nOkay who is having PCT withdraws? This trail is rated high on AllTrails and not a very populated trail either. A lot of solitude and backcountry mountains. The starting point of this trail will have the most incline with most of the trail being more of a easier moderate hike. only a few gradual inclines. Will be hiking passed the Bob Kimmerly Memorial Bench. Bob Kimmerly was the brainchild of a 50K and 50-mile trail run called the Leona Divide 50. He passed away from cancer in 1992 before it came to fruition\, so others brought the race to reality and created this bench to honor him. This area is known for a lot of snow during the winter season and hot during the summer. So right now is a good time to hit this trail. Carpooling at our same meetup spot will be offered for anyone who wishes to carpool or follow to the trailhead (Best donuts located 2325 Kuehner Dr # 127 Simi Valley off the 118 freeway at 8:00 am) I have attached the AllTrails link for directions\, pics\, and stats….https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/san-francisquito-canyon-south-via-pacific-crest-trail \nTrail out and back\nMiles 6.5\nElevation Gaon 1069 ft\nRated moderate\nDogs allowed\nParking small dirt lot and or side road ( Adventure Passed must be displayed) Adventure Passes can be bought at REI or Big 5 Sporting Goods \nAs of now there is no sweeper for this hike so please know if you feel you can not finish for any reason please turn back early \nPlease check back on hike info as rain\, heat advisory\, strong winds or low attendance may cause the hike to be rescheduled \nWe will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules: \n\nHike your own hike\nPlease stop at every junction and split to wait for others to catch up\n\nPlease remember to bring all essentials you’ll need for a hike (water\,hat\,sunglasses\,hiking boot/hiking shoes poles if needed snacks) \nLiability Disclaimer:\nAnd last….The Organizer\, Co Organizer\, Assistant Organizers and Event hosts in this group are not professional guides. The function of the Organizer is only to organize the trip. Each person who signs up for an Event is responsible for his or her own safety and the safety of his or her guest. Remember this is your hike. All responsibilities are of your own once you attend. Please be aware of your limit. During outdoor activity you can encounter bodily injury\, snake bites\, sunburn\, overheating\, etc. This is not within our control and we ask that you are prepared for any of the above once you sign up for an Event. If you need to take several breaks (not counting quick breather breaks) and stops throughout a hike\, the hike maybe too much for your ability. Please check each event for miles\, elevation gain\, and difficulty rating. The higher the elevation gain means more incline and less leveled off sections. We offer all levels of hikes from moderate to hard to advanced only. We encourage everyone to not give up work on your core by joining our easier moderate Events and then joining our harder hikes once you are ready. 😊

SUMMARY:Santa Rosa/Wildwood - Canyon Overlook\, Stagecoach Bluff\, and Lizard Rock Loop
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/explore/recording/fri-17-nov-2017-18-49–3?p=-1&sh=aoxfvb \nHello Fellow Hikers! \n(gonna be following kims route this was a hit the first time so join us and lets checkout her awesome hike) \nThis is a route that Kim created on her own back when she hiked this area every week. Attached is her AllTrails recording from the last time she did this hike. There will be an immediate incline to the top of the canyon. Then there will be a somewhat leveled off section with views of the canyon to the right and hills to the left. We will descend down towards the Paradise Falls area\, pass by a camp area\, and complete a few water crossings before starting our climb up Lizard Rock Trail back to the top of the canyon. After that\, it is all downhill back to our cars. \n* Note 1: There are no plans to stop at Paradise Falls\, however we can take a short break if we are making good time. This area (especially the falls) is often very crowded on weekends. * \n** Note 2: The trails near Paradise Falls are usually closed for 48 hours after heavy rainfall. I have an alternate route if the trail is closed. The distance should be about the same\, but the elevation gain will decrease. If it heats up the time will move up to a earlier start time. \nLoop\nMiles – 5.41\nElevation Gain – 1529 ft\nRated – Moderate\nDogs allowed on leash\nParking – Free small dirt lot next to trailhead with overflow parking on Hill Canyon Rd closer towards Santa Rosa Rd \nAs of now there is no sweeper for this hike so please know if you feel you cannot finish for any reason please turn back early. \nPlease check back on hike info as rain\, heat advisory\, strong winds or low attendance may cause the hike to be rescheduled. \nWe will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules: \n\nHike your own hike\nPlease stop at every junction and split to wait for others to catch up\n\nPlease remember to bring all essentials you’ll need for a hike\n(water\, hat\, sunglasses\, hiking boot/hiking shoes poles\, snacks) \nLiability Disclaimer:\nAnd last….The Organizer\, Co Organizer\, Assistant Organizers and Event hosts in this group are not professional guides. 😊

SUMMARY:Sage\,Ranch Center\,Wood Canyon Fire Road and Guadalasca Loop
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/sage-ranch-center-wood-canyon-fire-road-and-guadalasca-loop \nHello Fellow Hikers\, \nThis is a trail that is comprised of several trails into a loop. Will be hiking throughout the Point Mugu State Park. This route is rated hard but all the incline shows moderate and will be throughout the hike with most beginning in the middle. This trail is also rated 4.7 out of 5 due to the scenic views. Will be on both fire roads and narrow trails with some shade but most of the trail looks to be open views. Now for the downside…The parking lot looks to be on the small side so unless you can carpool will have to do a waitlist and may not be able to move everyone over. Carpooling at our same meetup spot will be offered for anyone who wishes to carpool or follow to the trailhead (Best donuts located 2325 Kuehner Dr # 127 Simi Valley off the 118 freeway at 6:15 am) I have attached the AllTrails link for stats\, directions and photos.https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/sage-ranch-center-wood-canyon-fire-road-and-guadalasca-loop \nTrail loop \nMiles 10.8 \nElevation Gain 1742 ft \nRated hard \nDogs not allowed on this trail \nParking free dirt lot \nAs of now there is no sweeper for this hike so please know if you feel you can not finish for any reason please turn back early \nPlease check back on hike info as rain\, heat advisory\, strong winds or low attendance may cause the hike to be rescheduled \nWe will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules: \n1. Hike your own hike \n2. Please stop at every junction and split to wait for others to catch up \nPlease remember to bring all essentials you’ll need for a hike (water\,hat\,sunglasses\,hiking boot/hiking shoes poles if needed snacks) \nLiability Disclaimer: \nAnd last….The Organizer\, Co Organizer\, Assistant Organizers and Event hosts in this group are not professional guides. 😊

SUMMARY:Mount Pinos via McGill Trail
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/mt-pinos-via-mcgill-trail \nHello Fellow Hikers\,\nOkays it’s time for some forest therapy. This is a really popular backpacking trail as your surrounded by lush pine trees and gorgeous mountain peaks. Once we reach Pinos peak will take a snack break and pics as this peak does have signs. This is one of the easier peaks to reach with the summit being at 8\,847 ft (and the highest point in Ventura County) and a great stopping point for a break before heading back. Carpooling at our same meetup spot will be offered for anyone who wishes to carpool or follow to the trailhead (Best donuts located 2325 Kuehner Dr # 127 Simi Valley off the 118 freeway at 6:15 am) I have attached the AllTrails link for stats\, directions and photos. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/mt-pinos-via-mcgill-trail \nTrail out and back\nMiles 15.4\nRated hard\nElevation Gain 2939 ft\nParking Dirt lot\nDogs allowed but must be trained for a longer harder hike \nAs of now there is no sweeper for this hike so please know if you feel you can not finish for any reason please turn back early \nPlease check back on hike info as rain\, heat advisory\, strong winds or low attendance may cause the hike to be rescheduled \nWe will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules:\n1. SUMMARY:Mugu Peak to La Jolla Nature Preserve
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/mugu-peak-to-la-jolla-nature-preserve?u=i&sh=aoxfvb \nHey Everyone\, \nIt’s time to get some more elevation gain in or we (I) will never make it up Baldy. I’m not going to lie\, the first mile to Mugu Peak will be difficult\, but most of our elevation gain will be done. We are going to take it nice and slow because there’s still 8 miles to go. We will take some time to catch our breath at the top and take some photos. Then we’ll descend into La Jolla Valley Preserve to start our 4.5 mile loop. The loop is a mellow\, relatively easy hike. We will pass some water crossings\, a pond\, wildflowers\, and possibly some wildlife. We’ll make our way out of the valley and hike along the ridge for some ocean views before (slowly) making our way back down the steep hill to our cars. Bug spray\, long pants\, and poles are highly recommended for this hike. I have attached the AllTrails link for stats\, directions\, and photos. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/mugu-peak-to-la-jolla-nature-preserve?u=i&sh=aoxfvb \nLoop\nMiles 9.2\nRated hard\nElevation Gain 2180 ft\nNo dogs allowed\nDirt lot and some parking along PCH \nAs of now there is no sweeper for this hike\, so please know if you feel you cannot finish for any reason please turn back early. \nPlease check back on hike info as rain\, heat advisory\, strong winds\, or low attendance may cause the hike to be rescheduled. \nWe will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules:\n1.
