SUMMARY:Josephine Peak via Colby Canyon
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/josephine-peak-via-colby-canyon-trail \nHello Fellow Hikers\,Okay this will be a distance hike so I will attach a meeting spot for those who would like to carpool or just follow each other to the trailhead. This is considered one of the prettiest routes to take to Josephine Peak. With this route we will have a few creek crossings and a few switchbacks as we make our way to the top. Will also have beautiful mountain and forest views. May encounter some snow at the top but not enough for spikes. A Adventure Pass is required you can find one at any Big 5 Sporting Goods the cost is $25 dollars and good for one year. Start time is early due to small parking lot that fills up quick. SUMMARY:Will Rogers to Temescal Peak
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/will-rogers-to-temescal-peak-to-split-rock-spur \nHello Fellow Hikers\,\nHave you ever been to Will Rogers State Park? If not your in for a treat! This is my favorite state park to hike. There is so much eye candy here! From the ocean view on one side to downtown LA on the other\, a bridge\, stairs\, wildflowers everywhere I have not been to this trail and not seen several deer here it really is a pretty hike. You will not feel that this trail is a lot of incline due to all the sights to see. So much is offered on this hike. The trail posted is a point to point we will be doing this trail on a out and back. Our goal will be to try and make it to Temescal Peak but if not will go to Goat Peak or as far as we can. So expect a 10-12 mile day. This trail is moderate but it does have a lot of continuous uphill so a beginner hiker may find this trail difficult. We will have to start our time at 8am as that’s when the gates open and we want to insure a parking spot. Carpooling at our same meetup spot will be offered for anyone who wishes to carpool (Best donuts located 2325 Kuehner Dr # 127 Simi Valley off the 118 freeway at 7:15am) I have attached the AllTrails link for directions\, pics\, and stats: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/will-rogers-to-temescal-peak-to-split-rock-spur \nTrail out and back\nMiles 10+\nElevation Gain 2\,000 (at least)\nDogs unfortunately not allowed in this state park\nParking is paid lot $12 or you can park free outside the park and walk in (but note that fills up fast so you’ll have to get there early if you want to park outside the park)\nRated moderate \nAs of now there is no sweeper for this hike so please know if you feel you can not finish for any reason please turn back early. \nPlease check back on hike info as rain\, heat advisory\, strong winds or low attendance may cause the hike to be rescheduled \nWe will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules: \n1. DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/chief-peak-rd-to-chief-peak \nHello Fellow Hikers\,\nOkay time to venture out towards Ojai. And this is gonna be a good one. While there we can decide if we want to add an extra mile to see the Rose Valley Falls. This trail is rated hard so not suitable for beginners. If you have never been on this trail you’re in for a surprise. This hike has great elevation gain and a good workout but you will not feel it as there is so much for the eye to see. Will be hitting it counter clockwise so we can see split rock first then Tri Peaks we will also stop at Exchange Peak. People seem to pass this one up without realizing it has some of the best views there. Then will make our way to Inspiration Peak Then onto Sandstone peak! Will probably end up closer to 8 mile day. have attached the AllTrails link for directions\, pics\, and stats: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/mishe-mokwa-to-tri-peaks-and-sandstone-peak \nTrail loop\nMiles 6.8 (but probably be a 8 mile day)\nRated moderate\nElevation Gain 1692 ft\nDogs are welcome\nParking free lot \nAs of now there is no sweeper for this hike so please know if you feel you can not finish for any reason please turn back early \nPlease check back on hike info as rain\, heat advisory\, strong winds or low attendance may cause the hike to be rescheduled \nWe will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules: \n1.
