SUMMARY:Challenger Open Space Loop Trail
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/challenger-open-space-loop-trail \nHello Fellow Hikers\,This is a great trail good amount of flat with ups and downs. As we leave the parking lot (parking is free and it’s a paved lot) will make some inclines to a open field section to make our way to the top of the mountain. The grade is real gradual but enough to get your heart rate up. There is shade but only through sections so we plan to start on time and be out before it gets to hot. We will be following the AllTrails map from start to finish so I attached the link for directions\, pics\, and stats https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/challenger-open-space-loop-trail \nTrail loopMiles 5.2Rated moderateElevation Gain 918 ftDogs allowed (be cautious of the heat)Parking is a lot and free \nWe will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules:1) Hike your own hike2) Please stop at every junction and split to wait for others to catch up \nPlease remember to bring all essentials you’ll need for a hike \nAnd last….The Organizer\, Co Organizer\, Assistant Organizers and Event hosts in this group are not professional guides. The function of the organizer is only to organize the trip. Each person who signs up for a Event is responsible for his or her own safety and the safety of his or her guess

SUMMARY:Stunt High Trail
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/stunt-high-trail \nHello Fellow Hikers\,This trail looks so pretty a lot of shaded areas with oak trees that line the side of the trail. And open meadow sections. Also sections with gradual climbs. The trail will end at Mulholland drive will we will make our way back. Now there are two trails in this area we will be following Stunt High Trail as it’s more shaded and on this day the temps are supposed to be heating back up. Some reviews on AllTrails is referring to the second trail which is a bit harder of a hike with zero shade. I attached the AllTrails link for directions\, pics\, and stats https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/stunt-high-trail \nTrail out and backMiles 4.2Elevation Gain 954 ftRated moderateDogs allowed \nWe will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules:1) Hike your own hike2) Please stop at every junction and split to wait for others to catch up \nPlease remember to bring all essentials you’ll need for a hike \nAnd last….The Organizer\, Co Organizer\, Assistant Organizers and Event hosts in this group are not professional guides. SUMMARY:Rocky Peak to Tapo Canyon Preserve
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/tapo-canyon-trail-to-rocky-peak-trail \nHello fellow hikers\,I have been talking about this one for awhile so here we go…this will be a point to point hike I have attached the AllTrails link as this will be our meeting spot and we will be doing this hike..but.. we are gonna carpool to Rocky Peak and start it from the reverse direction so will end up at Tapo Canyon. I have done this hike the full length and it is AWESOME it has everything (except rock scrambling or off trail) you will get amazing views with your stretches of climbs up to your stretches of level off sections. All the trails separate would be rated moderate but put together you have a harder rated trail. Anyone is welcome to do any part of the sections if you want to turn back but please note we are continuing on. You can either bring a friend to drive separately or/and we can all take several cars (depending upon how many attend) out of respect we will wear mask in the car but not required on the trail. This will be a good heart up and pumping workout but not a killer more of a great feeling you did it… 🙂 I attached the AllTrails link for directions\, pics\, and stats https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/tapo-canyon-trail-to-rocky-peak-trail \nTrail point to pointMiles 14.7Elevation Gain 3021 ftRated hardDogs allowed BUT must be conditioned for a longer harder hike \nWe will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules:1) Hike your own hike2) Please stop at every junction and split to wait for others to catch up \nPlease remember to bring all essentials you’ll need for a hike (a lot of water on this one) \nAnd last….The Organizer\, Co Organizer\, Assistant Organizers and Event hosts in this group are not professional guides. SUMMARY:Red Rock Canyon to Calabasas Peak
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/red-rock-canyon-to-calabasas-peak \nHello Fellow hikers\,Okay this is going to be a interesting one. From the start your drive into the parking lot will be on a dirt road that maybe bumpy so you might have to drive a little slow. There will be a $5 fee to park you should end up at Red Rock Canyon Park. Some can park outside the lot and walk in but there isn’t a lot of spots for this. The parking lot itself maybe a little small so will have to put a limit on the hike. Now for the hike. We will be making a short hike on a side trail to the reclining man cave (its a cave that looks like a face of a man lying on the ground) only .22 additional mileage will add on to our 4.2 or we can also continue on to Red Rock Canyon Lookout which is 1.1 miles. Now our main trail sounds like it has a nice incline to the top with sections more of a incline than other sections on the trail. There will be shade from the start then opens to views. Will make our way to the top of Calabasas Peak (there will be a peak marker) then head to the concrete slab to finish up the hike and head back. This one is going to be a good workout. I attached the AllTrails link for directions\, pics\, and stats https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/red-rock-canyon-to-calabasas-peak \nTrail out and backRated moderateMiles 4.2 (probably a little more with our additional stop)Elevation Gain 1059 ftDogs allowed \nWe will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules:1) Hike your own hike2) Please stop at every junction and split to wait for others to catch up \nPlease remember to bring all essentials you’ll need for a hike \nAnd last….The Organizer\, Co Organizer\, Assistant Organizers and Event hosts in this group are not professional guides. SUMMARY:Mission Point via Bee Canyon Trail
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/mission-point-via-bee-canyon-trail \nHello Fellow Hikers\,Okay I know what you’re thinking 5.6 miles just over 1400 elevation gain rated hard? Yep it’s rated hard for a reason. This trail starts out nice and easy through O’Melveny Park. It shaded and lined with beautiful trees a nice and easy walk. That’s until you finally hit the trailhead and then the rated hard comes in. As you’ll read through the reviews this trail offers a great incline workout that offers more incline then level off sections. It’s not undoable but will definitely get the heart pumping. Not a lot of junctions or splits on this trail so the faster hikers can really go for it while the rest of us (me) can take quick breather breaks 😛 Once at the top we will be greeted with awesome views a bench\, peak marker and the O’Melveny stone marker. SUMMARY:Josephine Peak via Colby Canyon
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/josephine-peak-via-colby-canyon-trail \nHello Fellow Hikers\,Okay this will be a distance hike so I will attach a meeting spot for those who would like to carpool or just follow each other to the trailhead. This is considered one of the prettiest routes to take to Josephine Peak. With this route we will have a few creek crossings and a few switchbacks as we make our way to the top. Will also have beautiful mountain and forest views. May encounter some snow at the top but not enough for spikes. A Adventure Pass is required you can find one at any Big 5 Sporting Goods the cost is $25 dollars and good for one year. Start time is early due to small parking lot that fills up quick. DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/las-llajas-canyon-and-ridge-loop \nHello Fellow Hikers\,Okay the AllTrails attached is our starting point and we are doing the Ridge but we are going to continue on a different route from there. This will be a harder trail and not for beginners. The first 2 miles is 1800 elevation gain! It’s one of those hikes I’ll need to take quick breather breaks going up..lol we’re gonna connect several trails to make a loop. Starting from Las Llajas we will quickly turn off to the Ridge trail then on to Rocky Peak then down Hummingbird to the Bridle path then Mount Sinai from there a short hike on Chumash then down to our cars. This is a workout and a great way to see several trails without doing a point to point.
