SUMMARY:Tapo Canyon Trail
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/tapo-canyon-trail?u=i \nHello Fellow Hikers\, \nJoin me on a easier moderate hike at Tapo Canyon Trail in Simi Valley. This hike has a nice gradual walk until we start a gradual climb were we will start our loop. We should encounter wildflowers and mountain views. Our loop will drop down then we will continue until we start our climb back up. From there it will be all downhill and straight back to our cars. SUMMARY:Josephine Peak Trail
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/josephine-peak-trail \nHello Fellow Hikers\,\nStanding at 5\,558 feet on the western edge of the San Gabriel Mountains\, Josephine Peak is not your ordinary summit hike. The 8.5-mile (round-trip) out-and-back climb gains 2\,058 feet to a former fire lookout with tremendous views of the San Gabriels\, including Strawberry Peak. The peak is quite eclectic. Remnants of a fire lookout that stood from 1936 to 1975 were sadly destroyed by a fire\, but there’s still a bookshelf\, a concrete foundation\, and communication towers. It’s a great moderate hike and a great workout with scenery of rock formations and mountain tops. The Chumash out and back is not on AllTrails but the above website will give you info pics and some direction to the trailhead. We will be meeting off Flanagan Dr you can either park on the street or in the park both are free parking.
