DESCRIPTION:Hello Fellow Hikers\,\nWill be hitting three peaks on this one. Jonathan will be our event leader and we will be following his route that will take us to Rex and the Towers and Elliot peak. Expect a workout. The area is still so green and the wild flowers are everywhere now. But the views on top of the peaks will be the best part! This will be more of a hard moderate with some steep inclines but also gradual inclines between. This hike may be to hard for beginners hikers as will be doing 2\,000 elevation gain. I’ll be listing a Alltrails link for the purpose of directions to our meeting site but we will not be doing that exact route on AllTrails…\nhttps://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/elliott-peak-via-western-plateau-trail \nTRail loop\nMiles 8.5\nElevation Gain 2\,000\nRated hard moderate\nDogs allowed but will have some steep sections and maybe some scrambling\nParking free dirt lot \nAs of now there is no sweeper for this hike so please know if you feel you can not finish for any reason please turn back early. \nPlease check back on hike info as rain\, heat advisory\, strong winds or low attendance may cause the hike to be rescheduled \nWe will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules:\n1. Hike your own hike\n2. Please stop at every junction and split to wait for others to catch up \nPlease remember to bring all essentials you’ll need for a hike \nAnd last….The Organizer\, Co Organizer\, Assistant Organizers and Event hosts in this group are not professional guides. The function of the organizer is only to organize the trip. Each person who signs up for a Event is responsible for his or her own safety and the safety of his or her guest. Remember this is your hike all responsibilities are of your own once you attend please be aware of your limits

SUMMARY:Will Rogers to Temescal Peak
DESCRIPTION:https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/will-rogers-to-temescal-peak-to-split-rock-spur \nHello Fellow Hikers\,\nHave you ever been to Will Rogers State Park? If not your in for a treat! This is my favorite state park to hike. There is so much eye candy here! From the ocean view on one side to downtown LA on the other\, a bridge\, stairs\, wildflowers everywhere I have not been to this trail and not seen several deer here it really is a pretty hike. You will not feel that this trail is a lot of incline due to all the sights to see. So much is offered on this hike. The trail posted is a point to point we will be doing this trail on a out and back. Our goal will be to try and make it to Temescal Peak but if not will go to Goat Peak or as far as we can. So expect a 10-12 mile day. This trail is moderate but it does have a lot of continuous uphill so a beginner hiker may find this trail difficult. We will have to start our time at 8am as that’s when the gates open and we want to insure a parking spot. Carpooling at our same meetup spot will be offered for anyone who wishes to carpool (Best donuts located 2325 Kuehner Dr # 127 Simi Valley off the 118 freeway at 7:15am) I have attached the AllTrails link for directions\, pics\, and stats: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/will-rogers-to-temescal-peak-to-split-rock-spur \nTrail out and back\nMiles 10+\nElevation Gain 2\,000 (at least)\nDogs unfortunately not allowed in this state park\nParking is paid lot $12 or you can park free outside the park and walk in (but note that fills up fast so you’ll have to get there early if you want to park outside the park)\nRated moderate \nAs of now there is no sweeper for this hike so please know if you feel you can not finish for any reason please turn back early. \nPlease check back on hike info as rain\, heat advisory\, strong winds or low attendance may cause the hike to be rescheduled \nWe will always follow Jim’s Golden Rules: \n1. Hike your own hike\n2. Please stop at every junction and split to wait for others to catch up \nPlease remember to bring all essentials you’ll need for a hike \nLiability Disclaimer: \nAnd last….The Organizer\, Co Organizer\, Assistant Organizers and Event hosts in this group are not professional guides.
