This trail is actually named Lasky Mesa it goes through the Santa Monica Mountains and also connects with Upper Las Virgenes Canyon. This is more of a open space trail with little shade. It’s rated moderate but the elevation gain is 620 so it should have several level sections with gradual inclines in between. SUMMARY:Mount Gleason Trail!
DESCRIPTION:Okay all you backpackers and peak baggers this one’s for you. Hiking a little known trail called Mount Gleason. This is a loooong one (18 miles) But the elevation gain is only 3152 which makes this an excellent conditioning hike. Time to weigh down your gear if your looking to train for your backpack adventures or increase your endurance with a longer hike. Or just come along and enjoy a good hike and explore. We will be following the Alltrails map from the start of our hike to the top of Mount Gleason which is more of a fireroad. From there it looks like we may pass close to the old Nike Missile site. We will also pass a memorial for a fallen firefighter. On our way back down we will veer off the trail and connect to the Pacific Crest Trail which we will take all the way back to our cars. \nTrail Moderate but long distanceDogs are allowed but not recommendedTrail length 18 milesElevation gain 3152Out time is a estimateAdventure pass maybe required but this is my first time here so not sure(I would bring just incase) \nI’m gonna to provide the Alltrails link for you so you can check out info on the trails which includes stats directions and photos.Please remember to bring your face cover and all essentials needed for a long hike… \nThe Organizer\, Assistant Organizer and event host in this group are not professional guides. SUMMARY:Mount Lukens via Stone Canyon

This trail is a moderate climb on a fireroad until we hit a turn off to start our climb towards the top. This is where the hard rating comes in. From here will encounter some overgrowth due to a less traveled trail but should be doable. So the first three to four miles should be a gradual climb with the last one to two miles being our workout.
