DESCRIPTION:No dirt trails on this one. This will be the perfect weekend morning spin. We start in Westlake Village by the reservoir and head toward Agoura. We turn north at Cheeseboro Rd\, hook up with tree-lined Kanan Rd\, and head toward Oak Park. \nAlong the way we’ll travel through Oak Canyon Community Park. Continuing north we’ll swing around North Ranch and the new Sapwi Trails Community Park. On this one we’ll travel through Topanga State Park with stops at Eagle Rock\, Parker Mesa\, the Hub\, Eagle Springs and more. \nWe’ll ride at a pace suitable for semi-beginners on mostly fireroads. There will be nothing technical. Planned ride is a about 20 miles with 2\,000 ft total ascent. DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This epic tour of Agoura and Calabasas departs from Agoura at the Kanan Park and Ride\, then drops into the La Sierra Preserve via Kanan Road. From here we head east on Mulholland across the Triunfo Creek Bridge\, and ride one of the most famous stretches of highway in the country: “The Snake” (currently closed to autos) and past the Rock Store to Cornell. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”108918″ img_size=”medium” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=”https://amzn.to/3IZ5xTS”][vc_column_text]We’ll continue on Mulholland and take a detour by Malibou Lake\, returning to Mulholland at Reagan Ranch. As we ride through Malibu Creek SP we’ll eventually get to King Gillette Ranch\, former home of the razor magnate\, and now NPS HQ. We’ll take a bathroom break here. \nJust after King Gillette Ranch\, we’ll detour onto Dry Creek Cold Canyon Road. SUMMARY:Hollywood Sign - Hollywood Reservoir Loop Ride
DESCRIPTION:Hooray for Hollywood! There is only one legal way to bike to the Hollywood sign and that’s the way we will take. But that’s not all… \nOur all-road loop starts and ends at the Fern Dell Nature Museum in the Hollywood Hills. We’ll ride west across Hollywood\, mostly on Franklin Ave and Yucca St\, until we hook up with Nicholas Canyon Rd. \nVisit the Amazon eBike Shop \nNicholas Canyon Rd will take us to Mulholland Dr\, then across the 101 to the Hollywood Reservoir. After a loop around the reservoir we’ll ride up and through the Lake Hollywood neighborhood where we connect with Mt Lee Dr. \nMt Lee Dr takes us to Mt Lee\, the site of the Hollywood Sign. Bring a picnic lunch with items to share at the sign. \nWe return by way of Beachwood Dr\, Canyon Dr and other streets in the Hollywood Hills. The best being Quality Seafood. * \nWe will stop along the ride for pictures and bathroom breaks \nRedondo Beach Pier – break for casual lunch with a number of fast-food restaurant choices – packing a bike lock is recommended \nReturn by way of Fisherman’s Village where there is live music until 4 pm for those who wish to hang out. \nJust before arriving at the Village riders can ride or walk out on the newly paved Jetty for viewing boats returning from a day on the water and take scenic pictures. \nFor those who don’t wish to ride as far as Redondo Pier\, they can stop at Manhattan or Hermosa Beach Pier\, have lunch and ride back with us – no worries. \nDirections\nMeet at 10 am next to entrance to the Dock 52 free parking lot.
