You will not be hiking with us.\nYou can also fill out the form if only interested and want to stay in the loop. \nThis is a 3 1/2 hour walking tour of LA involving LOTS of stairs.\nIT IS ALSO an Urban Hike (a significant workout)\nAND\nIT is ALSO a tour or RandyLand’s Phantasmagloria \nThis is NOT just a stroll around town. This will be a great workout. You will go up and down many sets of stairs and some of the steepest streets in LA \nThere will be several “bail out”point where you can stop at anytime and call an uber or gps back to our start point of Lot 662 \n\nWe are starting at 1:30 PM\nWe depart SHARP at 1:30PM\nBRING LOTS O’ WATER\nWEAR GOOD SHOES.\nRestrooms are not going to be easy avail. There are some along the way. But you gotta be quick about it.\nThis is an “urban hike”\nBring a rucksack with some bars/food (just in case).\nDistance: Approx 7 to 8 miles\n\nI will have Sidewalk Chalk and be marking the turns along the way. \nQUESTIONS?\nCan I just do part? DESCRIPTION:Hike #2 in the 2024 Saturday in the Santa Monicas series\, is a moderate 8 mile\, 2000’ gain out and back hike with a couple loops starting at Leo Carrillo and hiking to scenic Nicholas Pond for lunch with spectacular ocean views and spring wildflowers. \nBring water\, snacks\, sunscreen\, and a good attitude. Rain\, excessive heat\, or Red Flag alert cancels. \nWe meet at 8:00 AM at the Leo Carrillo State Park parking lot (sometimes there is a wait to unlock the gate) or parkfor free on the side of the road on Pacific Coast Highway. \nThis is a Back Country hike\, and a medical form is required.
