SUMMARY:Easy\, Breezy\, Sunset Hike in Newport Beach
DESCRIPTION:Come along this three-mile nature walk to enjoy an easy breezy view of the Newport Beach Backbay. This is a very popular area for birding\, hiking\, and running. Dogs on a leash are welcome. Sun sets at 7:15 so we need to start our one-hour walk at 6:15 promptly. Please arrive by 6pm to allow time for intros and sign ins (Sierra Club Waiver). \nThose who like\, can join us for Taco Tuesday at El Mesquitito Grill just down the street where parking is easy\, tacos are cheap\, and drinks are cold!

DESCRIPTION:We’ll take a 4 mile walk starting at the Amigos de Bolsa Chica Parking lot and loop around the ecological reserve. \nThe reserve is designated by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) to protect a coastal wetland and upland\, with both migratory and resident threatened and endangered species of wildlife and wildflowers. \nWant to learn more? Like to take action? \nThis is a Wilderness Travel Course led hike. We follow Sierra Club guidelines by having two leaders\, and asking you sing a waiver at the trailhead. \nParking is limited\, follow your map navigation to Amigos de Bolsa Chica and carpool if possible.
