SUMMARY:LAKE ELSINOR - BACK ROADS
DESCRIPTION:This is day 1 of a two day trip to Riverside County. Day 2 will be a ride in Idyllwild to enjoy Fall colors. You can sign on for either or both events.\nAs you may know\, I’m always looking for narrow and winding paved roads. The Los Alamos Truck Trail in The Cleveland National Forest is one of those ideal roads to enjoy our e-bikes on without traffic. To cut down the miles\, I will set this up as a car shuttle event where you will need to:\n1). drive alone to the meetup location\n2). have a bike rack that can carry two e-bikes\n3). have an e-bike that has no fenders and fat tires. If you have either of these\, you’ll need to find another member that has a bike rack compatable with yours. \nAfter the ride and after retrieving the cars left at our starting location\, we will then drive over to the Yellow Basket for lunch. \nMake sure your tires or inner tubes have slime in them to help avoid flats. \nINITIAL MEETUP LOCATION AND TIME: Marna O’Brien Park in Wildomar near the restrooms at 9:00am. From here we will take half of the vehicles and all of the bikes to our starting location. \nSTARTING LOCATION: is 11 miles away at the El Cariso South Picnic Site in the Cleveland National Forest. \nRESTROOMS: At the end of the ride when we picnic at Castaic Lake Park. \nROUTE This will be our planned route. \nDISTANCE: 35miles \nELEVATION GAIN: 2500′ \nDURATION: 5+ hours \nTHE PACE: 8 MPH on up. \nTERRAIN: It’s all on a paved roads. \nLEVEL: Intermediate \nDEBRIEFING: After the the ride\, we’ll drive to the Yellow Basket for lunch. \nMY CELL # IS 805-358-5972

SUMMARY:A GHOULISH E-BIKE NIGHT RIDE THROUGH SIMI VALLEY
DESCRIPTION:This E-bike ride will be on 99.99% paved roads and bike paths in the Simi Valley area. We will be passing a house which the residents last year went all out in decorating for Halloween. This year we’ll be checking out different neighborhoods and doing this as an evening ride. So\, make sure you have a front and rear light on your e-bike.\nMake sure you also bring along a spare inner tube. Since this area has been a problem with tires going flat\, it would be to your advantage to have green slime in the tubes. \nMEETUP LOCATION AND TIME: Knolls Park in Simi Valley at 6:00pm. \nRESTROOMS: There are restrooms at the beginning and end of this ride. \nROUTE This will be our planned route. \nDISTANCE: 30 miles \nDURATION: 3+ hours \nELEVATION GAIN: 2400′ \nBIKE RIDE DESCRIPTION: All paved roads and bike paths \nTHE PACE: 6 MPH on up. \nLEVEL: Intermediate \nMY CELL # IS: 805-358-5972

SUMMARY:SANTA ANA RIVER BIKE PATH & PICNIC
DESCRIPTION:SANTA ANA BIKE TRAIL AND PICNIC LUNCH – Make sure you bring a lunch for our debriefing in the park after the ride. \nThe Santa Ana River Trail is one of Southern California’s most ambitious regional recreation projects\, designed to eventually span 110 miles from the San Bernardino Mountains all the way to the Pacific Ocean at Huntington Beach. While the grand vision connects three counties and 17 cities\, the trail currently functions as two entirely distinct experiences: a collection of flat\, seamless\, fully paved urban greenways through Orange County and the Inland Empire\, and rugged\, high-endurance mountain singletrack routes in the San Bernardino National Forest.\nBecause the trail morphs so dramatically depending on where you drop in\, choosing the right section depends entirely on whether you want a smooth\, vehicle-free bike ride or a grueling alpine workout.\nPopular Urban & Lowland Segments (Easy & Paved)\nThese segments are entirely paved\, flat\, and separate from vehicle traffic using grade-separated underpasses. They are perfect for road cyclists\, long-distance runners\, strollers\, and casual walkers. However\, they offer virtually no shade\, meaning sun protection and morning or late afternoon timing are critical to avoiding intense midday heat and strong afternoon headwinds.\nFor this event\, we will be taking the popular Urban & Lowland southern segment\, and then the northern segment on Saturday November 21st as we once again visit the Mission Inn festival of lights in Riverside. \nCheck your bike out at home to make sure it’s in working order and tires inflated before you arrive at the meetup locationas as well as having your tires or inner tubes filled with slime to help avoid flats. \nMEETUP LOCATION: (<-Click) 9:00 am at Centennial Park in Santa Ana. \nMEETUP DATE AND TIME: Thursday\, November 5th no later than 9:00 a.m. \nROUTE \nMEETUP PARKING FEE: Free parking. \nDISTANCE: 33 miles round trip \nELEVATION GAIN: 600 feet \nDURATION: 5+ hours \nRESTROOMS: There are restrooms at our meetup location and during the ride along the bike path. \nBIKE TRAIL DESCRIPTION: A paved two lane bike path along the Santa Ana River. \nTHE PACE: 8 MPH on up \nLEVEL: Advanced Beginner on up \nDEBRIEFING: After the ride we’ll have a picnic lunch in Centennial Park. \nMY CELL # IS: 805-358-5972
