TORO CANYON PARK
I’ve been meaning to introduce our weekday CDH trekkers to Toro Canyon Park in Santa Barbara. Tucked in the hills above Montecito, this 74-acre park provides the perfect place for our beginner hikers to experience the beauty that nature has to offer. The trails are easy and the views overlooking the coastline make for an enjoyable day. Our CDH beginners can’t do the Santa Barbara Coastal treks set to start in March, but this will
be a mini version of what they will offer. Of course, after the hike we can debrief for lunch at a local restaurant in Carpenteria. Just make sure that you car pool with a group that plans on having lunch afterwards.
