Looking westward toward LADYFACE MOUNTAIN’S south face and her northeast ridge line.
We’ll be traversing the unmaintained ridge line trail in Paramount Ranch heading towards LADYFACE MTN. in the distance.
While some of the CDH WWW members are out hiking in Fortynine Palms, I’m posting a tough local trek for those not going and others looking for a challenge as we take on THE LADY. This trek is a prelude to the ultimate trek on the Lady, where all four routes to her will be traversed by way of a ribbon route. For now, we’ll take on her ugly side (her south face) before dropping down her slender northeast ridge line. Starting out on easy trails through Paramount Ranch, we soon will be challenged on an unmaintained ridge trail taking us out to Kanan Rd. where the Lady’s south face is exposed. It’s here where we’ll take on 900′ of one of the toughest and steepest “use” trails around this area. If you liked the climb above the Cave of Munits or the assault on Castle Peak in El Scorpion Park, then you’ll love this one.
We’ll accomplish this task via a car shuttle, meeting first at the corner of Kanan Rd. and Cornell then car pooling to Paramount Ranch
