SANTA BARBARA COUNTY TREK-10 (Figueroa Mtn.)
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY RANGE TREK-10 (Figueroa Mountain area)
Continuing our Santa Barbara County series, we’ll hike the Davy Brown Trail and Munch Canyon Trail (loop) in the Figueroa Mtn. area. The Davy Brown Trail runs through one of the prettiest back country canyons in the Los Padres National Forest. A steady creek runs the entire length of Fir Canyon underneath a canopy of Douglas fir, sycamore and pine trees. This time of the year, we may still see a spectacular view of color as spring flowers adorn the landscape.
Of course, no SB-series trek is complete without a debriefing at a restaurant. So we’ll stop off at Palapa Mexican restaurant at 4123 State St, Santa Barbara.
The area we will be hiking in is about a two hour drive from Thousand Oaks, so keep that in mind when signing on. Devote the whole day to this and don’t sign on if you have other commitments later that day (because we won’t rush the trek so you can finish early).
NO DOGS ALLOWED
