SANTA BARBARA COAST- SERIES OF HIKES
Join me on another trek in the Santa Barbara Coastal Range series. We’ll hike a series of trails I’ve never taken before that should be interesting with views of the ocean on most of them. Starting north at Gaviota, we’ll conclude the series in Montecito. Due to a predicted heavy rainy season, I’m sure we may have to reschedule a hike or two. This series is definitely meant to be more visual than physical, thus, less conditioning but more of a mental enlightenment. Therefore, we will hike together as a group and enjoy the beauty that this series offers.
SANTA BARBARA COASTAL RANGE TREK-3 (SEVEN FALLS)
Continuing our Santa Barbara Coastal series, we’ll now need a car shuttle to complete our third trek. We’ll be starting our hike at Skofield Park and ending it at Stevens Park via a 9+ mile trek which includes parts of the following trails (Arroyo Burro, Jesusita, Seven Falls, Tunnel, Connector and the Rattlesnake Canyon Trails). This area is a little over an hours drive from Thousand Oaks, so keep that in mind when signing on. Devote the whole day to this and don’t sign on if you have other commitments later that day. Unlike the first two hikes in this series, there will be a 40 member limit on this one due to the limited parking. After the hike you can join me for some Thai food. If interested in joining us, please let us know so that we can call ahead to let them know the number in our party.
