This is a great opportunity to combine your love of the outdoors with the gratification of making a significant contribution to the environment.
We will hike from the 3 Points Trailhead to work on trail inside of San Gabriel Wilderness. Plan is to remove logs from trail and improve tread. Hike will be about 7 miles round trip with 1400′ gain.
No experience is necessary and we will provide tools, hard hats, gloves. This is a good opportunity to learn cross-cut saw skills. We emphasize technique rather than brute strength to clear downfalls. See how it is done.
Bring plenty of water and your lunch. Forest Service requires us to wear long sleeves, pants, sturdy footwear (boots highly recommended) and eye protection (sunglasses OK). Check weather conditions for mountains (6000′ to 7000′) for proper clothing.
