Hueneme Beach Park and Surfside Seafood
Join me on yet another Friday morning beach walk as I take on Port Hueneme Beach Park’s Lighthouse, beach and pier.
We’ll start out at Moranda Park and work our way over to The Bubbling Park. From there we’ll walk along The Bubbling Springs Recreation Corridor which leads us to Hueneme Beach Park. It’s there where we’ll head out to the end of the pier before continuing on a paved pathway to the lighthose. After a walk on the beach we’ll have lunch at The Surfside Seafood before heading back to the cars.
This area is a little over a half hours drive from Thousand Oaks, so keep that in mind when signing on. To make it easier for you, I’m setting up an earlier meetup in Thousand Oaks at the corner of Robert S Haaland Dr. and S. Rancho Rd.
AFTER THE WALK I’LL BE STOPPING AT SURFSIDE SEAFOOD FOR LUNCH. THOSE INTERESTED CAN JOIN ME, JUST MAKE SURE YOU’RE IN A CAR POOL THAT PLANS TO DO THE SAME. THOSE NOT JOINING US FOR LUNCH WILL NEED TO WALK BACK TO THE CARS ON YOUR OWN VIA THE BUBBLING SPRINGS CORRIDOR.
MEETUP LOCATION AND TIME: Walter B. Moranda Park (536 Santa Cruz Cir, Port Hueneme) at 9:00 a.m. There’s should be free parking there.
SEE MAP FOR EXACT MEETUP LOCATION
EARLIER MEETUP TIME, LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS: For those out my way, we can meet at the Thousand Oaks Park and Ride at the corner of Rancho Rd. and Haaland Dr. NO LATER THAN 8:15 a.m. It’s just south of the 101 Fwy and 23 Fwy interchange.
