The Franklin Trail Phase 1 & 2, is a 10.4 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Carpinteria, that features beautiful wild flowers. Nestled at the foot of the majestic Santa Ynez mountains, Carpinteria is world renowned as one of California’s last small beach town communities. Known for its exquisite collection of natural resources (which our CDH beginner hikers have covered) that include bluff preserves, parks, marshes, seal sanctuaries and popular surf spots, the foothills of Carpinteria Valley offer stunning views out over the Pacific Ocean to the Santa Barbara Channel Islands. Here’s an opportunity for the WWW members to checkout another Santa Barbara County coastline trail for CDH.
