Distance. 5.6 miles
Elevation gain: 1,400 ft.
Level: Advanced beginner, moderate
Duration: 3 hours>
Directions: From the I-210 fwy towards Pasadena, take the North Lake Avenue exit and head north until the end of Lake where it meets Loma Alta. Please pay attention to street signs in order to avoid a parking ticket.
Join me for an early evening hike at a leisurely pace to the top. Please bring something to share, snacks, food, beverages, etc.
Sunset is at 5:29 pm. Twilight is at 5:55 pm. The moon will be 8.2% illuminated. Make sure to have a headlamp or flashlight for the hike down. Bring a change of shirt and warm layer as it gets cold at the top during this time.
Whatever we pack in we have to pack out. We will all meet at the Cobb Estate gate at 6:00 pm. Please keep your rsvp current so that we don’t wait for you. Since this is an out-and-back hike, you can return to the cars on your own at any time, but make sure to let someone know, or you can wait for others to head back down. We normally stay at the top for an hour or so.
