DESCANSO GARDENS – ENCHANTED FOREST OF LIGHT
Join me on an enchanted forest of light walk for beginners on up. This time we’ll visit the Descanso Gardens in La Canada in the evening when they will have their forest lit up with colorful leds.. Descanso Gardens is an urban retreat of year-round natural beauty, internationally renowned botanical collections and spectacular seasonal horticultural displays. In 1953, Descanso founder E. Manchester Boddy preserved these 160 acres of gardens, woodlands and chaparral for future generations to experience the natural heritage and beauty of Southern California. Parking is free and the entrance fee is $9:00. Seniors 65 and over $6.
Since this is a Wednesday hike I will set it up for two hikes to add extra mileage for the strong beginners.
