A TRIO OF BEACHES and optional picnic
With the temperature in Malibu reaching 85 degrees this Friday, let’s take in a trio of beaches there (Nicholas Canyon Beach, El Pescador State Beach and El Matador State Beach). These three beaches are along a two mile section of Malibu coastline. We’ll either car shuttle or drive to each beach depending how high the surf is. The tide is lowest at 1:20 pm.
PARKING: You can either park in the beach parking lots and pay ($10/vehicle) or park for free, where permitted, on PCH.
OPTIONAL PICNIC: Those interested, can join me on a picnic after checking out the babes, I mean beach at El Matador.
MEET UP LOCATION AND TIME: Nicholas Canyon Beach (in the parking lot) at 10:00 am

EARLIER MEET UP LOCATION AND TIME: You can meet me in Westlake Village at 9:15 am. Exit the 101 FWY at Westlake Blvd in Thousand Oaks. Head south on Westlake Blvd. to Potrero Rd. Turn right and go about 400 yards to Camberwell Pl. Immediately turn right on Margate Pl. From there we’ll take as few cars as possible to Nicholas Canyon Beach.

PACE: An easy pace for beginner hikers

Trail statistics are approximate. For safety purposes always assume they are underestimated. But don’t be disappointed if they are overestimated. Bring more water and snacks than you think you’ll need.
Trail descriptions are based on previous hikes. Current conditions are unknown until arrival. Expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
The Organizers and members in this group are not professional leaders, guides, or mountaineers. The function of the member or organizer is only to organize the trip.
