Let’s enjoy a beautiful hike together. It’s been a while!
Join us for an approximately 3 to 4 hour moderate hike along the waterfall trail to the Danielson Monument and old cabin site. This will be a loop hike because we’ll backtrack a little and loop around on the Fossil Trail.
Distance: about 8 miles
Please bring water, snacks, camera, sunscreen, hat, and wear comfortable shoes (hiking boots preferable). Directions to the trailhead:
Wendy/Potrero Rd entrance:
Directions to trailhead: From the 101 in Newbury Park, exit Wendy Drive. Turn southwest (towards the ocean) onto Wendy. Proceed all the way to the end of Wendy, as it ends at Portrero Rd. We will meet in the dirt parking lot on Portrero at the end of Wendy.
We meet where the red circle is located on the map.
I will collect the $1 at the trailhead.
No dogs allowed as we’ll be hiking in part of the state park system.
I am a volunteer (i.e. not liable for the group). Safety is a priority for everyone in the group. Think of this as hiking with a group of friends.
